Orchard Leigh

Homes from

£289,000

2 to 4 bedroom houses

A period house set among mature trees and greenery

Homes on a former cider orchard below the Mendip Hills, with the original fruit trees kept along the lanes and a new community orchard at the centre.

We named Orchard Leigh for what was here. Rather than clear the old cider trees, we mapped them and built around the healthiest, so the streets curve past standing apple and pear. A new orchard at the heart of the site is run by residents.

The homes face the Mendips on one side and the Levels on the other. Cheddar Gorge and the reservoir are a short cycle, and Wells, the smallest city in England, is fifteen minutes by road.

Water is reused on site. Rainwater feeds the planting, and every home has a butt plumbed to the garden tap.
