Calder Mill

Homes from

£199,000

1 to 3 bedroom apartments and town houses

A converted stone mill building with gabled roofs and a clock

A canal-side conversion and new-build mix in the Calder Valley, keeping the old mill's stone shell and adding homes behind it in matching gritstone.

The original spinning mill had stood empty since the floods. We kept the stone walls and the cast iron columns inside, turned the mill itself into apartments, and built town houses along the towpath in stone cut to the same coursing.

Living here means the canal at your door and the moors above the town. Sowerby Bridge station is a six minute walk, with direct trains to Leeds, Manchester and Halifax.

Flood resilience shaped every decision. Ground floors sit above the modelled flood level, the landscaping is built to hold water, and the homes carry insurance under the national flood scheme.
